"Help! I don't know how to take a Zoom class!"

What to do:

1. Make sure you have a floor in your home where it's safe to dance! Roll up the rug and wear shoes that aren't too sticky on the floor.

2. Join the class by clicking the Zoom link that was sent to you in your registration email.

If you don't have Zoom already installed, once you join the meeting your computer/phone will be prompted to download.
Here's a Zoom tutorial about "HOW TO JOIN A MEETING".

3. You can turn your camera off if you want with the "stop video" button (lower left), but it helps if the instructor can see your whole body on camera, if you're comfortable.
You can adjust what you see with the button in the upper right that will toggle between "grid" (everyone) and "speaker" (just who is talking/making noise). You can also "pin" one person by right clicking on their video. This will keep that person in a larger box until you "unpin" them.

4. You can mute or unmute yourself by clicking the microphone icon on the lower left. (You'll be muted by the teacher during the class but you can unmute to ask questions.)

5. Click on "Chat" to ask a question or see the chat session.

Let's dance!
