COVID-19 Safety and Code of Conduct

COVID-19 Safety Rules

Vaccinations make social dancing much safer, although not without risk.

  • All participants must be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations (vaxxed and boosted when eligible)

  • All participants must register in advance (no walk-ins). You can still purchase a drop-in class, but you must register first.

  • All registrants will upload proof of most recent vaccination/booster. This information will not be shared with anyone.

  • If you can't be vaccinated for a medical reason, please contact us at lindyhopmaine@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate you with online classes.

  • If you are not feeling well or are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for test results, please stay home.

  • If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please self-isolate and stay home.

  • Masks are required for in-person classes (N95, KN95, or KF94 only; no cloth masks.) Masks must be well-fitting and be covering your mouth and nose.

  • Attendance will be taken to allow for contact tracing.

  • Wash hands and use hand sanitizer often.

  • If you have unvaccinated or vulnerable people in your household, please consider their safety before participating.

  • Lindy Maine reserves the right to limit capacity in order to reduce risk of transmission.

  • We rotate partners in class but you are welcome to opt out of the rotation if you bring your own partner or partner with someone else who also doesn't want to rotate.

  • Sustained disruption of events

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event/class instructors and organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, not limited to but including:

  • Issuing a verbal and/or written warning to the offender

  • A temporary or permanent expulsion from Lindy Maine classes and events without a refund

  • Logging the incident in a written report

Thanks for making our events safer!
