Safety Policy and Code of Conduct

Safety and Health

  • While Lindy Maine is no longer requiring vaccinations for participation in our classes, we strongly suggest that all participants receive COVID-19 vaccines to protect the health of our community.

  • Masks are optional but strongly suggested to protect our community.

  • If you are not feeling well, are showing symptoms of illness, have tested positive for COVID, or have been in close contact who is positive for COVID, please stay home. Replays of all classes are available online.

  • Attendance is taken to allow for contact tracing. Please check in at the beginning of class.

  • Wash hands and use hand sanitizer often.

  • If you have unvaccinated or vulnerable people in your household, please consider their safety before participating.

  • Lindy Maine reserves the right to limit capacity in order to reduce the risk of transmission.

  • We rotate partners in class but you are welcome to opt out of the rotation if you bring your own partner or partner with someone else who also doesn't want to rotate. However, in our experience, students who rotate in class learn more and get better faster.

  • All participants should wear shoes covering their entire foot. Sandals, flip flops, slides, and high heels are not recommended.

  • Unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate physical contact

  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following

  • Sustained disruption of events

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event/class instructors and organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, not limited to but including:

  • Issuing a verbal and/or written warning to the offender

  • A temporary or permanent expulsion from Lindy Maine classes and events without a refund
